Key concepts: Sustainability and Creation

In Term 1, we will explore the more extreme biomes.

We will explore where the world's biomes are located and their climate, making a link to how this relates to their position on the Earth and in relation to the Equator. 

We will then delve deeper into the desert, tundra and grasslands, looking at the different flora and fauna found there, as well as exploring how animals have adapted to live in these biomes. 

Diellma: Project Eden. We will have to design and create our own 'tourist attraction', including a play park, to showcase the different biomes of the world – saving fuel miles as Cornwall is a long way to travel from Oxfordshire.
