Term 3: The Changing Year: Post WW2 Britain

In Term 3, we start by looking at the state of Britain at the end of WW2. The country was nearly bankrupt and it needed rebuilding. We look at Stevenage and the New Towns Act.

Following this, we look at the change in government and the creation of the NHS, as well as the Windrush Generation who came across to help.

After exploring some of the discrimination faced, we move on to look at social change and how the roles of women changed.

We finish by looking at the baby boomer generation and how the 1960s was a time of change. We focus on fashions across the era, up until the present day and finish with 'Decades Day.'
