At Windmill we feel that it is very important for the children to have a voice in how their school is run and organised. This gives children the opportunity to take on responsibility which is a life skill that we all need. For that reason we have a number of pupil councils that the children can be a part of. The councils include School's Council, The LAW (Learning at Windmill) group, the Values Council and the Eco-schools Council. Children in years 5 and 6 also have the opportunity to apply to be a Young Leader. Young Leaders are buddied up with younger children and they act as young teachers to support basic skills or to help provide some additional challenge for the child or children they are buddied with.
