At Windmill Primary School we are extremely lucky to have our Home School Link Worker (HSLW) Miss Beth Coldrick as part of our pastoral team. Beth works closely with children and families to support a range of needs, including bereavement, separation, attendance and behaviour. Beth is in school every day and works closely with our SENCo, Clare Hanchet, and Mental Health and Wellbeing Coach, Mr Adam Gibbs. Additionally, Beth acts as a link between home and school and maintains positive relationships between the two.
How to contact the Home School Link Worker?
If you feel that you require support, please telephone our school office and ask to speak to Beth directly, or alternatively send an email outlining any difficulties you are facing. Any referrals are triaged within our pastoral team and you will be contacted about what support can be offered to you and your family. If your referral falls under the HSLW umbrella, Beth will be in contact to make the necessary arrangements to meet. When we meet we will explore with you the difficulties your child or family is experiencing and together we can try to find the best way forward.
Where it is considered that you could be best supported via the class teacher or SENCo, your referral will be passed on and they will be in contact with you.
Why you may be contacted
At Windmill Primary School, we take pride in knowing our families very well and in most cases, our staff identify the families in which we feel will benefit from Beth's support.
