Pupil Premium was introduced in 2011 and provides additional money for each deprived pupil in the country. This money goes with eligible pupils to the school they attend, and is distributed in addition to the schools budget. Pupils eligible are those on Free School Meals (FSM), Children who are Looked After (LAC) or children whose family is in the Armed Forces.
